The Cause Bristol’s overarching strategic intent is to foster unity, equality, and opportunity for those most in need within the city of Bristol.
We are committed to empowering individuals and communities to thrive, breaking down systemic barriers, and creating pathways for success on their own terms. We believe that addressing social inequality in all its forms is crucial for a truly inclusive society. Our diverse portfolio of initiatives is designed to support this mission. Since our founding in 2020, The Cause Bristol has built a strong reputation for delivering impactful, evidence-based programs. Our work is informed by thorough research and a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by marginalised communities in Bristol. We aim to bridge gaps in knowledge and resources, addressing the specific experiences, needs, and aspirations of those we serve. Our work and initiatives fall into several broad categories: Community Empowerment and Support; Inclusive Cultural Engagement; and Research and Advocacy. Central to all our efforts are themes of Accountability, Representation, and the dismantling of inequality, which underpin every aspect of our work.

Our Mission
To create a collaborative hub that harnesses the imaginative and cultural talent of our producers to deliver work, based in principle on unity, equality and societal change, that amplifies the voices of the underrepresented and marginalised. We do this by enabling the transfer of gained and lived experience and by promoting culture and creativity as a force for change, inspiration, and aspiration within our communities.
